CELEBRATING THE 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF
FENDER WITH AN ICONIC, INSTRUMENTAL
COLLECTION.
Fender was founded by Leo Fender in 1946,
just as S.T. Dupont was inventing the first
luxury lighter. Its meticulous craftsmanship
has made it one of the most renowned names
in the world. To this day, the biggest names
in music are inspired by the Fender way of
transforming wood and metal strings into
beautiful musical instruments.
The Fender Stratocaster, with its sunburst
finish, shape and unique sound, became an
instant icon and is synonymous with rock
legends from Eric Clapton through Jimi Hendrix
to the Arctic Monkeys. Now celebrating its 70th
anniversary, this highly versatile, sleek and
supremely good-looking musical instrument
defies age with exceptional style and conviction.
Their shared values of craftsmanship and
innovation are what have made Fender, in
California and S.T. Dupont, in France into
global brands. Now, S.T. Dupont has reinvented
the traditional art of lacquering to transform
the iconic sunburst patina of the Fender
Stratocaster into a special anniversary collection
of handcrafted lighters and writing instruments.
The brand has also created a line of Fender
tweed-inspired leather travel accessories,
especially for music lovers. Production of this
exceptional collection has been limited to 1946,
in homage to the year that Fender was founded.
